Las Vegas, Nevada - June 1, 2010 - ICW Group, a super regional property & casualty insurance company has been named winner of the Property & Casualty Early Adopter Award for XML Transactions at the 2010 ACORD LOMA Insurance System Forum.
The ACORD Awards recognize outstanding achievements in ACORD data standards implementation. ICW Group received its ACORD award due in large part to the innovation and performance of Snap, its proprietary underwriting management system. Developed initially for its Workers' Compensation business, Snap offers Agents and Brokers the ability to pull ACORD generated forms from their agency management systems and transmit policy application information directly to ICW Group as structured XML data.
"ICW Group is to be congratulated not only for earning this Early Adopter award, but for showing the benefits that can be achieved by implementing ACORD standards," said Lloyd Chumbley, Vice President, Standards, ACORD.
Using Snap's proprietary upload feature, Agents can instantly populate over 70 percent of their ICW Group application submission with a single key stroke, replacing what traditionally has been a time consuming process of rekeying information from the ACORD application.
"We are honored to receive this prestigious award from ACORD," stated Kevin Prior, president and CEO for ICW Group. "A key tenant of how ICW Group differentiates itself from other insurance companies is by offering our agents and brokers innovative ways to improve business efficiency, enabling them to focus more on creating relationships and providing trusted advice to their clients. Powering our agent's success, while upholding the integrity of ACORD data standards, has contributed greatly to our own success, and remains at the forefront of our company's future growth initiatives."
Privately held ICW Group represents a group of multi-line property and casualty insurance carriers providing workers’ compensation, surety, earthquake and personal and business auto insurance. Its member companies consist of Insurance Company of the West, Explorer Insurance Company and Independence Casualty and Surety.
