Catastrophe & Differences in Condition (DIC)
Operating under the Explorer name, our private passenger automobile program headquartered in Santa Clarita, California, provides a full-service product for personal and business automobile policies. These programs are unique in that they accommodate risks from the preferred to the non-standard automobile markets. Their rating operates through a series of earned discounts based on objective driver history and account stability. See Explorer Auto.
Commercial monoline property covers property not written as part of the traditional package. A traditional package includes property and general liability coverages: Our emphasis is on a lessor's risk, retail, wholesale, hotels, municipalities, schools, light manufacturing and excess property.
Commercial property also writes terrorism and smaller accounts. See Commercial Property.
Assumed catastrophe reinsurance allows us to diversify our catastrophe exposure by participating on domestic (USA) primary insurance carriers' reinsurance programs. The focus is on perils that do not generally occur with our primary operations throughout the United States.
Through Difference in Condition (DIC) we offer earthquake and flood policies. We deliver this product through a network of wholesale brokers in other states as well as California. See Catastrophe.
Surety provides construction contractors and real estate developers with contract performance and subdivision bonds. Surety also provides a market for license, permit and court bonds. We have branches in many states to provide local, personalized service. See Surety.
Workers' compensation is a state mandated no-fault system that requires employers to provide employees with medical care and other specified benefits for work-related injuries or illnesses. We offer programs that can be customized to provide the coverages and services you need throughout the United States, while concentrating in California, Nevada and Florida. Our risk selection is based on individual risk characteristics rather than class. Our target industries include Country Clubs, Hotels, Light Manufacturing, Luxury Auto Dealers, Restaurants, and Retail/Wholesale. See Workers' Compensation.
