Cal OSHA's Heat Illness Prevention standard (Title 8, Sect. 3395) requires employers in the agriculture, construction, and other industries, to implement a formal written Heat Illness Prevention program. The requirements include providing access to shade and water, written procedures including emergency response, and training for all employees and supervisors on the effects of heat.
