Our Special Investigations Unit (SIU)

Our SIU employs professionals who are licensed private investigators with insurance claims experience. The SIU function is not hired out to vendors. Our goal is to help prevent, detect and deter white-collar crime.

Our anti-fraud services include applicant, premium fraud, medical and legal fraud investigations.

How ICW Fights Fraud

We actively fight fraud by:

  • Training our employees on the red flag indicators.
  • Partnering with professional investigative vendors who assist us in the investigation of suspect claims.
  • Investigating cases and reporting if fraud is suspected, to the Department of Insurance Fraud Division and local District Attorney offices.
  • Partnering with anti-fraud vendors who track insurance claims history.
  • Having our Safety Services Department inspect the risks to verify the exposure.
  • Maintaining working relationships with local law enforcement agencies to fight insurance fraud.
