In its first time participating ICW Group won 1st place overall to conquer the Fit Company Challenge
SAN DIEGO, April 7, 2017—ICW Group Insurance Companies, a group of property and casualty carriers, earned 1st place overall to conquer the San Diego Fit Company Challenge. The Fit Company Challenge is a nationwide corporate wellness event hosted by the Fit Company Institute in more than 25 cities.
“Health & Wellness is an integral part of ICW Group’s culture, and our active participation in the Fit Company Challenge further fueled team member enthusiasm in this area. In fact, several participants revitalized their efforts to get moving again, and their renewed excitement for fitness has sparked similar activity throughout our company,” said team captain David Wallace, Director of Accounting at ICW Group. On March 11, more than 250 participants from companies in the San Diego metro area competed against each other. They spent the morning pushing their physical and mental toughness to the limit while reaffirming the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. Participants worked in teams of three to four towards completing a variety of fitness stations that challenged their fitness levels and earned points for their company. Teams chose what level (beginner, intermediate, or advanced) to go through each course which allowed participants of all fitness levels to actively participate.
