ICW Group Expands Commercial Lines Portfolio Beyond Workers’ Compensation

Now Accepting Submissions in California for Five New Lines

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 1, 2026 – ICW Group Insurance Companies today announced the expansion of its product suite, launching five new Commercial Lines for California businesses to complement the company’s long-standing workers’ compensation offering, giving agents and brokers a single-carrier option for a broad range of insurance risks. The company is now accepting submissions for policies effective Jan. 1, 2027, and beyond.

The expansion marks a significant step in ICW Group’s diversification growth strategy and its evolution as a multi-line commercial property and casualty insurer. Building on decades of workers’ compensation experience, the new offerings bring five additional lines of coverage to market: commercial property, general liability, commercial auto, inland marine and excess liability.

For agents and brokers, the ability to place multiple coverages with one carrier can help create a more coordinated experience for their clients, from submission and underwriting through billing and claims. The California launch is focused on middle market accounts, with plans to expand the new lines into additional states over time.

“We’re excited to give our distribution partners more ways to serve their clients through ICW Group,” said Paul Zamora, Chief Underwriting Officer, Commercial Lines, ICW Group. “Our deep expertise in underwriting, claims and risk management gives us a strong foundation to expand into these additional lines while delivering the responsive, relationship-focused experience our partners expect from us.”

The Commercial Lines expansion is built around several capabilities intended to support both agents and their clients, including:

  • One carrier, multiple coverages. Agents can place a broader range of their clients’ commercial insurance needs with one carrier, creating a more coordinated experience from submission through billing and claims.
  • Experienced underwriting partnership. ICW Group’s business development underwriters combine underwriting and distribution expertise, providing direct access to decision-makers and a consultative approach to risk selection.
  • Disciplined risk selection and clear appetite. The company is targeting industries and exposures that align with its existing workers’ compensation portfolio, allowing it to build on established underwriting and risk management knowledge.
  • In-house claims and risk management. ICW Group brings proactive claims handling and risk management expertise to help businesses address exposures before and after a loss.
  • Financial strength and stability. The expansion builds on ICW Group’s longstanding financial foundation and more than 50 years serving commercial customers.
