SAN DIEGO (Sept. 11, 2026) — In honor of the 25th anniversary of Sept. 11, ICW Group Insurance Companies joined thousands of volunteers throughout the country to pack an estimated 20 million meals for people facing food insecurity. Organized by nonprofit 9/11 Day, these events transformed a day of remembrance into a day of service and community impact.
9/11 Day led the effort to establish Sept. 11 as a federally recognized National Day of Service and Remembrance in 2009, creating a legacy that encourages individuals, businesses and organizations to honor the day through service to others.
“This nationwide effort is a powerful reminder that acts of service can bring people together and create lasting change,” said Kevin Prior, CEO of ICW Group. “As we commemorate the 25th anniversary of Sept. 11, we are honored to stand alongside 9/11 Day to help support those facing food insecurity.”
