ICW Group Names Stacey McAdam and Rob deViere Regional Directors

Duo Will Help Position the Company for Continued Success as an Emerging National Workers’ Compensation Carrier of Choice

SAN DIEGO – Sept. 17, 2014 – ICW Group, a leading national multiline property and casualty insurer, announced today it has added two new director-level positions to its workers’ compensation executive team—Stacey McAdam and Rob deViere. McAdam will oversee business development, underwriting and agent outreach initiatives for ICW Group’s western states, while deViere will manage the eastern region. Both will play a key role in positioning the company for success as it continues to expand its national footprint. Earlier this year, ICW Group began actively writing work comp business in Georgia, Indiana and New Jersey, and is expected to continue on its robust growth trajectory.

“Our workers’ compensation direct written premium has increased 375 percent since 2008, enabling us to actively write work comp in more markets across the U.S.,” said Paul Zamora, senior vice president of workers’ compensation underwriting at ICW Group. “As we continue on our path of strong, sustainable and profitable growth, Stacey and Rob will allow us to maximize our underwriting efforts across the country, and ensure regional teams have the tools and resources to best help agents serve their clients.”

Both directors will leverage the company’s strong track record of partnering with agents to help clients drive down their frequency of claims, reduce claim severity and achieve a lower ex-mod, to build new agency relationships and increase submissions.

McAdam originally joined ICW Group in 2006, as assistant vice president, to launch the company’s Ventura County office. During her tenure, she has built a $116 million book of business, and played a leading role in developing Snap™, ICW Group’s state-of-the-art underwriting management system and agent portal. She earned her undergraduate degree in education from Wittenberg University, and her MBA from Pepperdine University.

Prior to his promotion, deViere led ICW Group’s Florida and Georgia regional branch operations. With more than 22 years of experience in workers’ compensation that includes managing a multimillion dollar work comp program, owning an independent insurance agency and working with a national carrier, he uniquely understands the challenges facing the marketplace, policyholders and agents. Before beginning his career in insurance, deViere served as a staff instructor for the Naval Nuclear Propulsion program during his military service in the United States Navy.

ICW Group actively writes workers’ compensation insurance in 12 states, and was recently named the number one property casualty insurer in net premium growth for 2013 by National Underwriter. Connect with ICW Group on LinkedIn at www.linkedin.com/companies/icw-group and on Twitter via @ICWGroup.
