Denna Sneddon and Gary Morin Join ICW Group as Branch Managers

SAN DIEGO, Dec. 30, 2014—ICW Group Insurance Companies, a leading national multiline property and casualty carrier, named two new branch managers to its workers’ compensation underwriting leadership team. Denna Sneddon will oversee business development, underwriting and agent outreach initiatives for the Los Angeles region, and Gary Morin will oversee the Georgia and Florida markets. Sneddon replaces, and will report to, Stacey McAdam, assistant vice president, who was recently promoted to regional director of workers’ compensation underwriting in the western states. Similarly, Morin replaces, and will report to, Rob deViere, who was also recently promoted to regional director of ICW Group’s southern and eastern states.

“Together, Denna and Gary have more than 50 years of combined experience in the work comp industry, including marketing, underwriting and management,” said Paul Zamora, senior vice president of workers’ compensation underwriting at ICW Group. “Their success building and growing large books of business, and fostering long-term relationships with agents will bolster their predecessors’ winning efforts in their perspective markets. We started actively writing business in Georgia this year, and look forward to becoming one of the top work comp carriers in the state—similar to our standing in California and Florida.”

Prior to joining ICW Group, Sneddon was manager of product development and policy management at CompWest, a monoline workers’ compensation carrier, where she led underwriting operations—including submissions, policies and endorsements. During her tenure, she implemented improvements to the company’s underwriting unit and online rating product, resulting in greater productivity. A seasoned and recognized professional in the California insurance landscape, Sneddon has held senior workers’ compensation business development and underwriting positions at AIG, California State Compensation Insurance Fund and California Compensation Insurance Company. She earned her Bachelor of Science in organizational management from the University of LaVerne. Agents and policyholders can connect with Sneddon at: www.linkedin.com/pub/denna-sneddon/24/769/476.

Morin brings with him more than 20 years of experience in insurance and underwriting. Before ICW Group, he was the underwriting technical director at Zenith Insurance Company, a large national monoline workers’ compensation carrier. In addition to new business acquisition and profitably managing a multimillion dollar book of business, he facilitated an underwriting trainee program, developed and presented technical training programs and served as the interim regional underwriting manager. He was previously with Insurance Office of America, holding several leadership positions, including assistant commercial lines manager. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida, is a charter member of the Rotary Club of Baldwin Park and holds his 220 Property & Casualty insurance license.

ICW Group actively writes workers’ compensation insurance in 12 states, and was named the number one property casualty insurer in net premium growth for 2013 by National Underwriter. Connect with ICW Group on LinkedIn at www.linkedin.com/company/icw-group and on Twitter via @ICWGroup.
