Carrier Takes Steps to Provide Continued Coverage for Impacted Policyholders
SAN DIEGO, Oct. 25, 2017— As several wildfires continue to burn in California, ICW Group Insurance Companies announced today that they are providing relief and claims handling procedures to assist policyholders in affected areas. This includes granting billing leniency for our insureds.
“We understand our commitment to our California communities and highly value their trust in us,” stated Kevin Prior, president and CEO of ICW Group. “With these fires impacting over 245,000 acres and so many homes, businesses and lives, we want to ensure our customers’ safety and peace of mind during this rebuilding process.”
ICW Group is proactively following the suggestions outlined in the California Department of Insurance “Voluntary Claims Handling Reforms For Recent Wildfires,” issued by Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones.
ICW Group will send an email to California agents, brokers and policyholders explaining the safeguards. If you need to report a claim, please see our Report a Claim page, and select the type of claim you wish to report.
