Robert deViere Appointment to Help Shape the Strategy and Direction of NWCRA
SAN DIEGO, August 19, 2019 
— Rob deViere, Vice President of Workers’ Compensation at ICW Group, a national leading group of property and casualty carriers, was elected Chairperson for the 2019 National Workers’ Compensation Reinsurance Association (NWCRA) Board of Directors at its recent annual meeting.
“I am honored to continue my service on this board, and being elected Chairperson is a special privilege,” said deViere. “Since joining the NWCRA board in 2017, I’ve been able to further serve the insurance industry and help fuel a healthy residual market through a fully functioning reinsurance pooling mechanism. As a result, carriers are better able to meet their obligations across multiple states.” As Chairperson and the Chief Executive Officer, deViere will continue to help shape the strategy and direction of this organization.
The National Workers Compensation Reinsurance Association (NWCRA), previously known as the National Workers Compensation Reinsurance Pool (NWCRP), is a contractual reinsurance pooling mechanism among participating carriers, that provides an arrangement to comply with the state statute and the Workers’ Compensation Insurance Plan (WCIP) for assigned risk business.
